Surprisingly, easy to put on once you get the hang of it initially. Without it, I'd have been told to just quit running and would have had to quit many of the sports I like to participate in. I would be severely limited. My ankle is simply too weak after a serious sprain. My ankle has threatened to go over a few times and this just pops it back up before it goes down. This one doesn't have stays. I tried those but didn't need them. It's not that hot either. That surprised me with all the straps and binding you're under. You also have to wear a sock under it. But I run in temperatures near 90 and I can wear it just fine. The rest of me is sweating like a racehorse, however.
